So, you look at the name and think, "Zero Beauty?... what a weird name for a company devoted to makeup"... but it is so much deeper than that. Let's be honest, nobody needs makeup. I like to think of it more like an accessory, kind of like earrings or the perfect pair of boots. We all wear makeup for different reasons. maybe you want to feel more confident, or stronger, or sassier. Maybe you want to match your lipstick to your dress, or put glitter on your eyelids that can be seen from outer space. Or maybe you just want to love looking at your face in the mirror! but, nobody needs makeup. if you want to wear makeup, wear it! but don't wear it to look like anyone else on the planet, because they are not, and never will be you! They will never do what you do, be who you are, or live your life.

My Story

When I was a little girl, I used to watch my mum apply her makeup. Watching her reflection in the mirror, she held her hand steady as she brushed the perfect, pale blue powder across her eyelids. I watched my mother transform from beautiful, to dazzling, with just the stroke of a brush, and a dash of a lipstick. I used to dream of the day when I would be old enough to have makeup of my own, and hoped that when that time came, my mum would teach me all her secret skills. In many ways, I am still that same little girl, in love with makeup, but now, instead of watching my mum, I am teaching others the very same skills she passed down to me.

As a professional makeup artist, with over twelve years experience in the industry, I have worked for multiple cosmetic brands, (MAC, Bobbi Brown and Lancome, to name a few) as well as high end retailers. I am a MAC Advanced Certified Artist, and have worked in many states across the country including California, New York City, New Jersey, Virginia, D.C., and even Canada. My work has been published in several magazines, blogs and bridal websites. I have worked on numerous photoshoots, styled shoots, special events and music videos. I am also the personal Makeup Artist for a Recording Artist in New York City, (which, is like, obvi, one of my favorite jobs!!)

When I'm not on set, or prepping a bride and her tribe for her wedding day, my other love is teaching and educating others on makeup and application. I feel it is so important, as an artist, to be constantly learning and evolving, especially with the ever changing cosmetic industry. It gives me true joy to be able to take the skills I have learned along the way, and pass them on to others, so in turn, they can use them to achieve whatever look they desire! I'm not in the business of "fixing", but to teach how to enhance and showcase your true beauty. In my chair, you will get encouragement. I want to be the starting point for self love.

I love to play with makeup, and because of my extensive history with it, I have discovered a fondness and versatility to all styles, however, my very favourite style is beauty makeup. I specialize in bridal, headshot, on-camera (HD) makeup, as well as Airbrush.

Do I really need a trial?

The answer is yes! Trials are a great way to decide what look you would like to have for your wedding day and actually try it on! It is also a great opportunity to get comfortable with your artist and ultimately decide if you are a good fit for each other!

What payment methods do you accept?

All payments are due 30 days prior to your event date. Trial fee plus 50% of your total wedding day services are due the day of your trial. Payment options include credit card, paypal, venmo, cheque and cash.For event day add ons, only cash will be accepted.

what products do you use?

I stock a very diverse and extensive professional makeup kit that includes many name brand cosmetic companies, and even some you may not have heard of! Having been a makeup artist for many years, and a true makeup lover myself, i personally have tried and tested everything i use in my kit to ensure it's supurb quality and long lasting and staying power! Some of my favorite brands include MAC, Bobbi brown, nars, smashbox, ingot and colourpop (just to name a few!)

do i want airbrush makeup? i don't really know what it is...

Airbrush makeup is a very thin foundation which is either water or silicone based, that is sprayed through an airbrush gun. Airbrush makeup is waterproof and sweat proof, lightweight and very long wearing.It is suitable for all skin types, has great coverage and has a very natural finish. I recommend anyone having makeup done for summer events, especially brides, should consider airbrush makeup for their event, as it will ensure the makeup lasts through the humid and hot weather!
